About Vasantham

VASANTHAM, meaning “Spring”, was established on the 2nd of October 1989 with six children at Mogappair (East) on the outskirts of Chennai.

From this simple beginning and with continuous support from individual donors, corporates and institutions, VASANTHAM has now grown to the extent of taking 121 children and adults under its wing. VASANTHAM provides residential care support for about 50 of these individuals.

Since its inception, VASANTHAM has devoted its service exclusively for the welfare and development of children and adults with special needs, and has empowered thousands of individuals with special needs and their families over the last 33 years.

At VASANTHAM, different qualified and experienced professionals provide their expertise in training and educating individuals with a variety of special needs.

The school is run entirely through contribution of service-minded individuals and organizations. Every single rupee received is accounted for and is spent purely to help the individuals under VASANTHAM’s care.
